Buffy Anderson - City Clerk

Buffy Anderson

City Clerk

About:

Buffy Anderson began her career working alongside her father in the construction industry, where she gained valuable experience in construction processes, project management, and hands-on work. She later expanded her expertise with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Waterways Engineering, focusing on flood protection, combining her construction background with real estate knowledge, and in 2005 she became a Realtor, while also operating a small retail business. As a small business owner from 2009 to 2013, she developed a strong understanding of day-to-day business operations, from managing finances to customer relations, skills that have proven invaluable in her professional roles. In 2013, Buffy moved to Denham Springs, Louisiana, where she continued her successful real estate career. In early 2022, she joined the City of Denham Springs Planning and Development Department, applying her construction expertise to urban planning and development. In November 2024, she was appointed City Clerk following the retirement of Joan Leblanc after 22 years of service. Buffy also serves as the Clerk for the Board of Housing Appeals and is actively involved in the City’s Blight Taskforce, using her construction and development knowledge to improve the community.
