About
Robert Poole was first elected to the City Council in 2003. After a break, he was re-elected in 2018 and again in 2022. A lifelong constitutional conservative, Poole serves currently as the Chairman of the Denham Springs Economic Development District as well as holding membership in Louisiana Association of Business & Industry, and American Association of Christian Counselors.
Owner of Process Automation & Controls, LLC, Poole has worked extensively in the field of automation & control systems within the petro-chemical industry. After graduating from International Technical Institute, he majored in Accounting at LSU. More recently, he attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he obtained undergraduate degrees in both Christian Ministry and Psychology. He is soon to complete an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is a 1984 Graduate of Denham Springs High School.
Poole is an active member of Live Oak Church. He is the father of four; a son Austin and his wife Ronda Poole, daughter Ashley and her husband Jacob Bridevaux, and daughters Madison and Alexandra, all of Denham Springs.
